Repeat Prescriptions

As per policy, we do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone due to clinical risk.

There are a number of ways you can order your repeat prescription

  • Contact your nominated pharmacy. If you would like them to order your repeat prescriptions automatically every cycle then please set this up with them
  • Use the NHS App. The best way to order your repeat medication is via the NHS App. The app shows the full list of your repeat items including when they are due and notifications for when you need a review.
  • Email the practice on nelondonicb.microfaculty@nhs.net. You must provide your full name, DOB and the name of the repeat items you require
  • Drop off your request at reception. There are repeat prescription request forms available at the front desk which you can fill out.

Please note:

  • An item must be on your repeat medication list (authorised by the doctor) for you to order it. If the item is not on repeat then it is most likely that you will need to book an appointment
  • To order travel vaccinations please see the relevant page here.

Medication Reviews

The NHS now requires all patients to have a telephone medication review after a certain number of issues. Every time you have a medication review the duration until your next one increases.

A medication review is a short telephone consultation with the clinical pharmacist. He will go through every item on your repeats list and ensure that there are no issues such as side-effects or compliance.

It is very important that you have routine medication reviews as without this we may not be able to issue your medication or it may cause unnecessary delays.
